The Department of Building Capacity for Orphan Program, in cooperation with the volunteer team at #Ola Al-Majd Foundation for Development, presented Today, Tuesday 5_March_2019, a training course on raising children presented by the trainer and family expert, Ms. Ibtihal Al-Aghbari, in which a group of orphan’s mothers participated.
The course aims to develop orphan’s mothers’ skills in how to deal with their children by providing social, psychological, and behavioral guidance. The training helps mothers to raise their orphans according to the sound educational foundations, which ensure orphans integrate into society and communicate with others with high morale and balanced mental health.
This meeting included a post-evaluation and a quick discussion of the topics presented in the course as well as how beneficial the course was for mothers. Furthermore, mothers request continuity in such programs that deal with mothers’ affairs and give them experiences in various aspects of life by giving them ways of how to deal with their children in better ways, the community around them, life’s pressures and problems, and adapt to them. The mothers also have expressed their advantages of the program and desire to continue with courses qualifying themselves, their families, and society.
The Building Capacity for Orphan Program Officer, Iman Al-Jaradi, stressed the importance of psychological and moral support provided to mothers and orphans through continuity in such works.
