On Thursday 4 April 2024 – 25 Ramadan 1445H, OMD-Y Foundation had implemented in Sana’a governorate “Ramadan Food Basket 1” project by distribution 91 food baskets to meet the needs of 455 of the neediest and most vulnerable families.
The food baskets were distributed at the 22nd May school. Each basket contains basic food ingredients; 40 kilos of wheat, 5 liters of cooking oil, 4 kilos of dates, a carton of legumes, a carton of sauce, 10 kilos of rice, 10 kilos of sugar, one kilo of milk powder and one kilo of tea). This is under generous funding from Pure Hands Org. and in coordination with the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA).
This project is part of a series of Ramadan projects that the Foundation is keen to implement annually and one of the projects of the food security and livelihoods sector in which the Foundation is interested in. This is to meet the needs of some of the most needy and vulnerable families, especially under the country’s conditions
